Climbing Mountains

Climbing  Mountains
Every year, thousands of people hike and climb beautiful mountains.  Some are beginners, spending much of their time taking recreational hikes on easier trails.  Other people with a little more experience take on more rugged trails, with interesting obstacles giving them a bit more of a challenge than the beginners experience.  But then there are those who go to the Extreme!  They brave climbs only the very elite try, because they have practiced and practiced and learned everything they possibly could to help them conquer those highest mountains.

So it is with writers.  Some writers stay on the easy trails.  They enjoy themselves to a point, but are content to stay at that basic  level of writing.  Other writers begin to take a few risks, try new things, and even practice writing a bit.  But then there are those who only settle for reaching the extreme peaks of the toughest mountains.

These are the  REAL WRITERS !!!

What kind of writer are you?  Where are you in your writing development?  One part of this blog will be dedicated to helping young writers write better.   Another will provide tips for teachers to use in writing workshops!

  1. If you have seen the sailboat idea I shared today, you know already I tried to use a different theme to kick off each year's writing workshop. This mountain concept I used for an earlier year.
